Chemical Peels

An alphahydroxy peel is a mild chemical peel which helps Tampa, Florida women and men remove the outer layer of skin, resulting in healthy, younger looking skin. It rejuvenates the face while requiring little to no downtime.

At the Elite Facial Plastic Surgery, we strive to provide you with a simple yet fulfilling experience. To learn more about a chemical peel performed at our practice, please request a complimentary consultation online, or call our office at 813-975-3223. We look forward to helping you improve your appearance and your confidence.

Glycolic acid, lactic acid, and fruit acids are alphahydroxy acids. Alphahydroxy acids act as exfoliants by removing dead skin cells, stimulating new cell growth and the production of collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin texture, more even coloring, and a more youthful appearance. An alphahydroxy peel does many things to improve the skin, including:

  • Diminished fine lines
  • Reduced wrinkles
  • Reduced hyperpigmentation
  • Improved acne and acne scarring
  • Reduced sun damage
  • Improved rough, dry skin
  • Improved enlarged pores

Chemical Peel Procedure

Alphahydroxy peels can be used on a weekly or monthly basis. They work well as a single skin care treatment or as a monthly maintenance treatment after laser skin resurfacing. All patients receive treatment in our Tampa state of the art fully accredited facility.

You may experience mild redness and irritation immediately after the peel. You will need to keep your skin moisturized and protected from the sun. Our aesthetician will advise you on the best skin care regimen to take care of your skin and maintain the results of your procedure.
